I have a bunch of friends that used it to launch projects (or at least feel out how much interest there might be in a project). A friend and fellow former magazine publisher recently launched <a href="http://cellstories.net" rel="nofollow">Cellstories</a> and used Kickstarter to <a href="http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/sinker/cellstories-mobile-storytelling-get-us-hosted/posts" rel="nofollow">seed the project</a>. Given the number of projects I have floating around in my head at any given time, I expect to be a future Kickstarter user any minute now. I LOVE Kickstarter.
