When you care enough to send a snarky ecard
Mon 24 Sep 2007, 3:19 pm
I may be the last person on the internets to find someecards.com, but find them I did. They are snarky, irreverent e-cards for those hard-to-buy-for situations. They are illustrated with corny clip art and carry messages such as “When work feels overwhelming, remember that you’re going to die,” and “You’re not mentally and emotionally damaged enough for me.”
But the kicker for today was this one, which I post in honor of training-wheels culture:
And then this one, which I post in honor of those alumni still looking for jobs:

these are vaguely reminiscent of the work of ashleigh brilliant!

Well, I guess you aren’t reading fade theory anymore! ;) I blogged about ‘em back in May: http://fadetheory.com/?p=1751

Oh, I’m still reading fade theory. I’m anxiously awaiting my copy of Scream at the Librarian which I ordered after seeing your post.
So yeah, I saw them at fade theory, at boing boing, and probably several other places besides, but something about yet another post I saw yesterday (on Daring Fireball, citing 43Folders) made me actually click through and waste time clicking around.

I finally beat you on something! I’ve both received and sent these cards. Ha! I wonder if there’s a card for that: “You are always ahead of me on cool internet stuff, but for once you were not, mwah-hah-hah.”
