Bloomsday

Looks like I missed Bloomsday yesterday. Bloomsday is June 16 and it has two main functions:
A. to commemorate the day that the action of James Joyce’s Ulysses took place in Dublin and B. the day that those of us who sweated through reading Ulysses can remind everyone of that fact. Ahem.
So, to make up for missing Bloomsday, I give you a–let’s say “unique”–version of “Danny Boy”:

It seems to me that I’ve “always” known that “Danny Boy” is a sad song that people cry about. Maybe this is why! It’s not like I had an Irish grandparent who would have sung it and cried. But I did watch The Muppet Show religiously as a kid.
