I love my co-workers

My co-workers are great. Like some other libraries, we have a Precision Book Truck Drill Team. They get the trucks out for the Christmas parade and the St. Patrick’s Day parade and the like, and they have a small but loyal following who hoot and holler for them at those events each year.
On Monday, they had a somewhat impromptu performance on the plaza outside the library, billed as a salute to the class of 2007. They marched in formation, did a few special moves when ringleader Robin blew the whistle.
They attracted a small, but appreciative (bemused, amazed) audience of students who demanded that they go to the Worner student center where they’d play to a bigger crowd.
So they took off across campus and marched to “Pomp and Circumstance” and “School’s Out,” with the latter song ending in a crowd participation precision book truck mosh pit as the librarians turned their trucks over to enthusiastic students.
More photos are in our Flickr photostream tagged precisionbooktruckdrillteam.

Wow, I didn’t realize the students joined in at the end! I missed that part. No photos?

p.s., and when you say “off to Worner,” we’re actually just going around the block. Cuz I didn’t go to Worner. As I say above. Precision drill team, indeed. We’re very precise about these details.
