Never a dull moment on campus

Updated 2006-09-05: Apparently our utilities didn’t take kindly to working on labor day. We lost power in many places on campus (including most of the library), which affected our data center, which effectively took the entire camups offline for six hours yesterday afternoon and evening. Welcome to CC, class of 2010!
As if starting school on Labor Day isn’t exciting enough, a balloon from the Colorado Balloon Classic landed on the quad behind the library today. I got a few photos before they completely deflated it.
And did I mention school starts today? AAAAAAaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrg!

School started today!?! Isn’t that against the Geneva Convention?

Yeah, or the Magna Carta or something. But we get about two weeks off around Christmas and New Year’s so I can’t complain.

Well, I guess two weeks off in winter would be nice… we get the day after Christmas and the Friday before the New Year. It doesn’t quite compare. Still, I think your utilities had the right idea. :)
