Are you the Steve Lawson who contributed to .zap!!, the APA of alt.zines, back in 1996? If so, I'm curious what previous contributors are up to now... and working on a new edition! Hope all is well.

Stephen, no, no connections to higher education or librarianship in my family. My dad was an airline pilot until he retired a few years ago. When we moved to Middletown in the mid-1970s when I was very young, he had been laid off from the airline, and I guess we were there because of the job he had at the time.

Hi Kate! Thanks for saying hi. That sounds like an interesting job you have.

I forgot that it was possible to leave comments on this page, so thanks for reminding me of that, too.

Hey, Steve!

My name is Kate, and I'm the project archivist of Athletics and Recreation (a very long job title that sounds very odd out of context) at the University of Denver (since Sept. 2007...almost two months!)

Just wanted to say hey, hi, and hello, it's always nice to find another librarian (or archivist) in the area, especially one who's involved with the ADR. :)
